Key Club Adventures

  Entry September 2020:

I joined Key Club for the first time this year. I heard about the Key Club from my classmates, friends, and teachers. The opportunities this club present are hard to pass and the benefits it provides to the community, as well as the people who are members of the club, is outstanding. I know very well that this year will be a great one being a part of Key Club. As time goes on I will keep the blog updated with events we did in Key Club and their impact on the community and me. Thank you for reading.

Entry October 21st, 2020:

Today we hosted a meeting in Key Club and also completed an activity towards the end. I would like to start by saying the members of Key Club, especially the officers are friendly and warm people. I never felt uncomfortable or that I didn't belong. They felt like family from the start which is a promising feeling towards the future. Anyways, the activity we did today was making e-cards for frontline workers. It is known to everyone that there is a global pandemic going on with COVID-19 and some are being impacted by it more than others. When this is said, one's thoughts may immediately go to the victims of the virus, however, another group that is impacted are healthcare workers. Every day they work long hours to provide patients with the tools and treatment they need to survive. Even members of the club know a few frontline workers who can say that they are tired, but it is all worth it to know that they are helping others. The dedication and commitment to service and making other people's lives better is honestly so inspiring to see and it gives me hope that people out there do want to make the world a better place. The least we can do is show our appreciation towards frontline workers and that is what we did by making e-cards and tapping into our creative and sentimental senses to hopefully make a healthcare worker's day. These were my cards for the event...
